Get involved in an activity looking at the under-representation of women studying Economic
Following International Women’s Day last week, significant statistics were revealed relating to the under-representation of women, in particular Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority (BAME) women, studying Economics. The number of women studying an Undergraduate Degree has actually decreased from 30% in 2000 to 26% today.
Mihai Codreanu, Lead Ambassador from The School of Social Sciences, want help organising and delivering an event exploring this under-representation of different groups of women in Economics.
Mihai has the idea to set up a talk exploring these problems with leading academic, Prof. Bina Agarwal. He wants to explore adding another dimension to the idea by developing an activity for the event (facilitating a discussion, running a workshop etc.) that engages with the audience and looks at the issue in another manner.
