Culturally Aware Healthcare Services Activity
Help Students in the School of Health Sciences celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
Kiran and Mellab are 4th Year Pharmacy students who are working with Sally Freeman and Cath Prescott to organise an event looking at ‘Culturally Aware Healthcare Services’.
They would like to recruit 4 students to take part in this event on Wed 21st March (14:45-17:10, Simon Lecture Theatre D), aimed at promoting a culturally aware healthcare service. We are hoping that healthcare students from different cultural backgrounds can help to provide information and advice.
As a lead ambassador you might want to encourage volunteers to get involved and co-ordinate activity with Kiran and Mellab.
As a volunteer you might want to take part in the workshop aimed at discussing the cultural barriers to accessing healthcare and the content of student healthcare curricula to promote cultural awareness.
